Known for creating the classic children's animated TV series "Blues Clues", Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey have shared their newest masterpiece - "Gabby's Dollhouse" for Netflix. Premierd back in 2021, the show has caught the attention of families and kiddo friends, making it one of this new generation's most succesful children's animated TV series out there. Now, it's finally time to get its own live show treatment.
"This beloved series has sparked the imaginations of families around the world, and we can't wait to translate its joy, heart, and creativity into a one-of-a-kind live experience," Jonathan Shank, CEO of Terrapin Station Entertainment shared in a press release. He also shares how excited they are to partner with TEG and DreamWorks to make this vision a reality.
"Gabby's Dollhouse is a world full of magic, music and friendship, and this live show is no exception. We can't wait to see families dancing, singing and 'pinch pinching' along with Gabby in this spectacular production," Michael Volman of DreamWorks Animation said.
All together, these partners are delighted to bring the magic of Gabby's Dollhouse to live audiences made up of families who look forward to spending fun times together. Not only are they creating live shows, they're helping families make lasting memories with the little ones, as these are important childhood moments they'll cherish as they grow up.
"The all-new production will capture the magic of Gabby and her friends live on stage," Geoff Jones of TED shared.
In each episode, Gabby heads to her bedroom for playtime, and then unboxes miniature packages in the dollhouse from her Meow-Meow Mailbox. Putting on her cat ears as she shrinks down with Pandy Paws who surprises Gabby with a hug attack, they hop through surprising adventures in the magical dollhouse.
Making it to the top 10 in 63 countries on Netflix, families around the world have tuned in and joined Gabby's interesting adventures since the show premiered in 2021. Beyond this live production, the show also has an upcoming feature film and a Theme park attraction based on the successful franchise. Bigger things are on the way.
