Born in Northern Alabama, Jason Isbell has been exploring music early on. He has worked ona number of music genres including bluegrass and gospel music. Before launching his solo career, he was a member of a garage band called Drive By Truckers. In 2007, he released his debut album Sirens of the Ditch which made a debut on the Top Independent Albums chart. In 2009, Isbell joined forces with the band 400 Unit and released their self-titled effort, entering the Billboard 200 and Independent albums charts. A few years later, Isbell continued his solo run and dropped 2013’s Southerneastern followed by his breakthrough record, Something More Than Free. The album soared to number 6 on the Billboard 200 and topped several Billboard categories. Isbell reunited with the 400 Unit in 2017 and released several more efforts, including chart topping Reunions.
