ABOUT JOSIAH QUEEN

Born in 2003, the 22-year-old singer-songwriter is one of contemporary Christian music’s rapidly-rising artists. A nominee at the 2024 GMA Dove Awards for “New Artist of the Year,” the man’s passion keeps shining through, just as he started writing music at 16. In 2024, his debut album “The Prodigal” came out, scoring his first #1 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart. The title track became a resounding hit, receiving a GMA Dove Awards nomination for Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year. 

His new album takes it up a notch, breaking down walls that challenge the faith. “I’m truly blessed. Just the fact that I can even say I have two albums, it’s amazing,” Queen told Billboard.

“I wanted to write an album about the things in our lives that we try to keep away from God, and the song ‘Mount Zion’ talks about realizing we don’t deserve God’s love, yet we’re still invited into it,” sharing how it’s about breaking down walls. 

As believers have emphasized, it’s a relationship with this loving Father who deeply cares for His children. Though hearts may be filled with shame, Mt. Zion shares that God’s love goes beyond all our mistakes, as Jesus already paid the price. Reaching the summit of His care, all we can do is lift it all up to His name.
