The one and only LAURIE BERKNER is kicking off a GREATEST HITS TOUR — performing her best and most memorable kids’ music & kindie rock anthems. Since 1997, she’s been creating fabulous musical pieces for the kids, becoming known as a performer with her trustee guitar and a wonderful voice whose music can get imaginations running. Just as her newest song “Hello River,” shares peace and calm as she soothes minds as if they were right beside a river, Berkner’s music always had a unique quality that other kids’ music composers just can’t seem to replicate. In celebration of her new single and about a quarter of a century’s worth of music in her just-released “Greatest Hits” album, she’s all set to share fantastic moments of timeless tunes and delights with both kids and parents (who were once kids who listened to her music).
Berkner’s new “Greatest Hits” release features remastered tracks released by Kidz Bop, the official distributor of her Two Tomatoes label. As a new generation of kids adore her music just as their parents did, Berkner’s legacy is passed on to new generations, and will definitely be kept alive.
Through the years, her greatest hits include “Waiting For The Elevator,” “We Are The Dinosaurs,” “Fast And Slow (The Rabbit And The Turtle),” “My Bunny Goes Hop,” “Let's Make A Shape,” “Monster Boogie,” and many more.
PEOPLE Magazine described Berkner as “The Queen of Kids Music,” holding over 1 billion total streams, 500+ million views on YouTube, and of course millions of CDs and DVDs sold across her career. With music that’s widely considered as classics today, the singer remains passionate to create music that kids can enjoy, learn from, and find peace with at the same time. As she strums her guitar, endless memories start to unfold.
Business Insider named her “the gold standard of the children’s music world,” releasing 17 bestselling, award-winning albums. With several books based on her songs, and also wrote music and lyrics for Off-Broadway musicals by New York City Children’s Theater, she sure is a living legend in the kids’ music scene. With a deep understanding of the way children feel natural rhythms and energy, it’s all about creating songs that matter to their hearts. Not about the algorithm, not overstimulation, but of true care.
